Privacy Policy

Effective October 4, 2026

This policy explains what ZynVoss LLC (Fort Pierce, FL), the company behind ChatBouncer, collects and why. It covers two groups. Customers are the businesses that sign up. Visitors are people who chat with a business's widget on that business's website.

Information about customers

  • Account details: your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store the password itself), plus a login session cookie.
  • Business information: what you enter or import from your website, such as name, hours, services, prices, FAQ, links, and handoff email addresses.
  • Billing: handled by Stripe through our billing service. We see your plan and payment status, but not your full card number.
  • Usage: message counts per business and basic logs used to run and secure the service.

Information about visitors

For visitor data, we act on behalf of the business whose website the visitor is on. That business decides to use ChatBouncer and can see these conversations.

  • Chat transcripts: the messages a visitor sends, the assistant's replies, and any replies from the business. We also record the page the chat started on.
  • Email address and name: only if the visitor types them, for example so the business can reply. The business receives them along with the conversation.
  • A random visitor ID kept in the browser's local storage, so the conversation continues across pages. The widget doesn't set advertising or tracking cookies.
  • IP address and browser origin, used briefly to prevent abuse (rate limits) and to make sure the widget only runs on the business's own website. Rate-limit counters expire after a short time.

Visitors shouldn't share sensitive information in chat, such as health details, payment card numbers, or passwords. The assistant is AI and can make mistakes.

How we use information

  • To run ChatBouncer: answer visitors from the business's information, pass conversations to the business, send owner replies back to visitors, and show the dashboard.
  • To send service emails: handoff notifications, password resets, and billing and policy notices.
  • To keep the service secure, enforce message limits and the Acceptable Use Policy, and fix problems.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't use visitor conversations for advertising. We don't use them to train our own AI models.

Who we share it with (subprocessors)

We share information only with vendors that help us run ChatBouncer, and only as far as they need it:

  • xAI processes chat messages and business information to generate the assistant's answers.
  • Vercel hosts the website, dashboard, and widget.
  • Railway hosts the chat engine and billing service.
  • Supabase / PostgreSQL provides database hosting.
  • Stripe handles payments and subscriptions.
  • Our email provider (such as Postmark) sends and receives service and handoff emails.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (with notice to customers).

How long we keep it

We keep customer and visitor data while the business's account is active. When an account is closed, we delete its business information and conversations within 90 days, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. Billing records are kept as tax law requires. A business can ask us to delete specific conversations sooner.

Your choices and rights

Customers can view and edit their information in the dashboard, or ask us to export or delete it. Visitors who want to see, correct, or delete what they shared should contact the business they chatted with. You can also email us at support@chatbouncer.com, and we'll work with that business. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. We'll honor them.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls that keep each business's data separate, and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we'll notify you as the law requires.

Children

ChatBouncer isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll email customers before they take effect and update the date above.
