Acceptable Use Policy

Effective October 4, 2026

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to every business using ChatBouncer, and to anyone chatting with a ChatBouncer widget.

Businesses may not use ChatBouncer to

• Give false or misleading information about prices, products, availability, licenses, or policies. The business is responsible for the accuracy of the info it provides.
• Run the widget on a website you don't own or aren't authorized to manage, or pose as another business.
• Sell or promote illegal goods or services, or operate scams, phishing, or pyramid schemes.
• Offer regulated professional advice (medical, legal, financial) through the assistant as if it came from a licensed professional, or collect health, payment card, or other sensitive data through the chat.
• Collect visitor information without the notices or consent your local law requires, or use visitor emails to send spam.
• Discriminate against, harass, or threaten people, or publish hateful, violent, or sexually explicit content, or any content involving minors.
• Infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights.

Nobody may

• Try to get around message limits, rate limits, billing, or the widget's domain restrictions, or reuse another business's widget key.
• Try to make the assistant reveal another business's data or its own instructions, or deliberately trick it into saying harmful things ("jailbreaking").
• Send automated or bulk traffic to the widget, scrape it, or overload the service.
• Probe, scan, or test our systems for weaknesses without written permission. If you find a security issue, please report it to support@chatbouncer.com.
• Upload malware or try to get unauthorized access to any account or system.

What happens if this policy is broken

We may remove content, pause a widget, block visitors or IP addresses, or suspend or close an account. If it's serious or keeps happening, we may act without warning. We may report illegal activity to the authorities.

Reporting

To report misuse of ChatBouncer, or a widget showing false or harmful information, email support@chatbouncer.com. Include the website address and what happened.
